Always wondered why Dallas didn't sign him to an ELC...guys huge and is putting up decent numbers in the AHL, solid 4th line option in the near future.

Saw someone saying on the Leafs Twitter page that most of his points aren't earned. I don't know of that's true or not, but his size alone makes this a good signing.

I'm pretty sure I remember Jim Nill saying Covid was a factor. His rights were due to expire right in the middle of the pandemic, after the season was put on pause, so I'm guessing it was a financial decision.

I'd be surprised if Douglas ever sees an NHL game. Really I think it's a "Marlie" signing.

But I'm glad Kurt Douglas is in the Leafs family. Loved him in Spartacus and so many others movies.

Has anyone figured out who in the Leafs organization signed this guy? It's probably not Dubas because he usually looks for short wingers who don't fight.

Dubas did as only the GM can sign a player

And Dubas has not just been drafting or signing short guys lul

Did you forget he drafted Knies and signed Simmonds + Clifford?

I think he will as he would make for a good 4c candidate which will be an open spot next year

Could see

Engvall-Douglas-Anderson being a fun 4th line

At the time, yes. I didn't mean to bold a part of what I said either, I just noticed I did that now.
