2 Years into Rebuild

Created by: Rhys23
Team: 2023-24 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 23, 2022
Published: Mar. 23, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Davidson's plan is going well, Hawks are about halfway through rebuild now with a plethora of young talent and draft picks. The SJS trade is assuming they're still somehow competitive despite all their awful contracts, obviously they wouldn't trade lottery pick. JUST FOR FUN :)

Remove strome and we downgrade one of the seconds to a third or replace it with foudy.

You didn't do your homework on Burns apparently. While he is aging he is hardly "falling off a cliff" as he is tied for 12th among defensemen in scoring with Seth Jones among others. We're likely buying out Vlasic this offseason and I for one am pretty okay with keeping Burns until his contract expires in 3 years. So this is a pass, me thinks.

I would like to see TOR attempt at it as well.

Chicago rejects this trade, Murphy and Strome will cost more than this

Sharks aren’t doing that trade especially if it’s done in 2 years. Burns would have 1 year left on his deal and the Vlasic buyout is much more manageable by then. I don’t see the sharks moving those picks to move those players.

I’m not sure they have the assets for that tbh. What would u even offer? With all due respect, the jets have the prospect pool to make a move like that. Not sure the leafs have that, or even should be more top heavy.

Lolol right?!? I’m a hawks fan but even I know the rebuild hasn’t really started until Kane and Toews say goodbye. Just like Detroit rebuild didn’t really start to take form until Zetterberg was gone.
