I don’t think they will be allowed to do buyouts mid season. Maybe find a loophole on terminating a contract wouldn’t put it past them for at least attempting that. Otherwise looks like they will go over the cap and be penalized next year. That type of mistake should cost a gm his job shouldn’t ever happen.
