I would not sign Caufield to a long term deal today. Bridge him for 3 years at $5M per season. Then sign him LT at $7M - $8M per season

He is 21 now. He will be 24-25 at the end of bridge deal. Then you give him 6-8 year LT deal. If you give him a 7 year deal today you could lose him as a UFA at 28-29 years old at his peak.

Just my 2 cents

Norlinder going back to sweden isnt a good sign, but i love the Barron pick up.

I wasnt even thinking of that good point. I was mostly posting it for the D, and added a few FW to make it less empty.

hes probably the least likely to pan out, but theres also Struble who is probably two years away but depending how his college season goes next year he could pass Norlinder.
