Agree with u signing 30 year olds to 7/8 year deals not a good idea. saying that any GM should trade b4 signing them to big contracts after 28. but redwings wont make PO anytime soon.
The Flyers had a good chance to make the playoffs until they lost their top 2 goalies. All Holland could get for Mrazek for a conditional 3rd rd this year and a conditional 4th rd next year.

Yzerman has a bad relationship with the current owner in Mike Illitch, him and Mike's dad got along a lot better but I doubt he would want to run this team. I could see someone like Draper or Fischer running it though, someone who knows the system and has played on the team before.

Holland was good over five years ago. The National Hockey League has changed. Holland has not changed and has not kept up with the changes. His time to move on is now.
