You don’t need to finish last to win the lottery. Habs will be in the bottom 10 next year there absolutely no doubt there. First east conference is ultra competitive, second there Boston, Toronto, Tampa and Florida in the Atlantic and Detroit will get even better next year, so do Buffalo. Ottawa could also take a step with a couple of interesting rookie entering the line up and a healthier roster. We might not finish dead last next year but unless Carey Price have a Hart trophy season caliber next tear there absolutely no way the Habs don’t finish in the bottom 10 and have a chance in the lottery.

Dvorak is 26 have score 15 goal or more in each of is full season. Doesn’t make a huge salary, he can play the bumper on PP, he can play Pk and is pretty good on faceoff. He is a good third line center no matter what you think. And maybe he isn’t superstar but there won’t be any superstar wanting to sign in Buffalo. When was the last time a superstar players signe long term in Buffalo. So unless Buffalo have a better option on the third line, this move would provide them some depth down the middle. Dvorak is still better than Mittelstad or Girgensons

I don’t know if you watch the deadline but Seattle just want pick and prospect. They add a very solid left handed prospect and Petry or Gourde won’t change anything to the fact that they will suck for the next couple season. And Petry is still a top 4 defenseman who have some value over the league. Just like Chiarot who everyone was chirping about. People around here doesn’t know anything about hockey. There team that are desperate to acquire top 4 defenseman. The chance that Petry had a worst season than this year are slim to none. Since St Louis took over he have found is game back notching 10 points in is past 17 games with a +5 differencial and around 22 minutes of ice time. There will be many suitors this summer that will inquire about him even if you don’t like him or pretend that he is washed.

Big pass from the sabres, Dvorak is garbo

How many season Girgenson or Mittelstad reach 15 goals?
Oh yes just once

How many 15 goal season Dvorak had already?

Yes you got it! At least i can argue with fact and some thoughtful explanation. You probably where one of many who was bullying Chariot and Lehkonen and are still pissed because it finally proove everybody wrong. I am still waiting for a answer on my question about the last allstar signing in Buffalo. You where probably not even born.

If Petry is so good, why do you trade him? Gourde is Seattle's # 1 centre. They aren't trading him. Seattle has lots of cap, they can find another Dman. But lets imagine it's a fair "hockey trade", what is Seattle's motivation to make it? You seem to make your long essay about Petry and Montreal. I'm just saying Seattle has needs and thoughts about their own players.

Why? Simply because is wife have asked to get back in the us. That a the only reason why he is in trade talk. And Seattle have need everywhere in their line-up the strategy was pretty clear this deadline. Acquire futur asset. Here they have a too 4 defenseman and a good prospect and another asset. Petry can be shipped elsewhere at 50% retention and probably gain Chiarot type of return. So that to me is a pretty good reason why seattle would want to make this move. Gourde is actually a very good players but he won’t make them Stanley cup caliber in the next 2 season.

It's Petry three year contract at 6.25m and his M NTC, that might make him unattractive to any suitors. His "trade value" can't be compared to Chariot.

You didn’t read or you just make it on purpose?
I said that he would return a Chiarot return if Seattle retain half of is salary. There would be a lot of team interested in a Petey at over 3 millions.
