Michkov have sign a 5 years deal this summer and won’t be eligible until the start of 25-26 season. Might even never cross into North America.

You need to bridge Cole for 3 years at $5M then give him the 8year deal. This way he will be 32-33 yrs old at the end of that 8 years

It will depend on what he doesn’t next season. If he score 30 and goes over 60 points he will command nore then 5 millions on a bridge deal. Then might be better to sign him long term if the avv is good or sign him on a 4 years bridge deal to maximize is contract before he get the big juicy one. Then Se will vet off the hook Price money, Gallagher will have 2 years left and Habs could afford to trade him. Futur is pretty exciting. We didn’t have much reason to be optimistic in the past 25 years. They finally looking to go i. The right direction go habs go !!

You can’t terminate contract like that. Especially the one sign i. KHL. There no clause that a players can move in the NHL. This was the same thing with Emelin back then and Romanov. It happen with Panarin, Kaprizoand multiple other players. It won’t be different this time.

There would definietly be a bridge deal. He would still be an RFA after the bridge like Lehki was. It will not happen your way.
