Well the Sabres have never been "great", but like the Sens and Wings have a chance to be very good, very soon

I don't think it really matters. 2nd or a 3rd and a mid prospect. He's a strong goaltender but Kahkonen and Reimer are probably going to be the guys for the Sharks.

We paid a 2nd btw

Should move Reimer, he’ll get us a 2nd minimum regardless. Keep Hill

He is still 25 and still has the chance to be a solid NHL starter. but goalie trades are always skewed cheap so we might not get a 2nd back, if we can i would do the deal.

Not a fan of Radulov... There are much better options out there imo. Hino would resign I'm 95% sure. If we want to be any better than we are this year, we'd have to get a better goalie than Hill for the net. Overpay a UFA for 1-2 years if that's what it takes

I think it’s fair. He has shown some great flashes, has multiple shutouts this season including one the 1st game back from an injury. He’s just been in and out of the lineup so he hasn’t has consistency this year.

I would have preferred Reimer over Hill. Radulov seems strange here, they will probably just re-sign Hinostroza for this place, and Peterka will also apply for a place in the line-up.

I think with Peterka it’s too much rookies in the lineup. And yeah Hini could get re-signed might be better

Well, that's what I meant, that they can re-sign Hinostroza, but it's not necessary to put Peterka in the line-up, it's just hard to ignore the fact that he is very good and can also be in the line-up during the season, he can be the first call from the AHL, or he will just earn a place in the camp himself.

SJ not taking a loss on the Hill deal. Probably should trade Reimer and ride Hill and Kakonen

Might not be able to keep Peterka out of the lineup
He’s been killing it all year in the AHL

And i agree with the others….
No way we do that for Hill. He’s not playing all that well, and we’d be looking for a more accomplished Vet to pair with & mentor UPL

Not bad overall though
Don’t think you’re too far off

Almost forgot, pass on signing Radulov
Doubt he’d come here anyways

I think Reimer maybe could be a better fit since he’s more experienced. But Hill has a .906 save percentage which is still decent

Not solid enough at all to pair with a young & unproven UPL
We need a guy more like Holtby
I’d bring back 90year old Craig Anderson before I’d want Hill,
and there’s ZERO CHANCE I’d give up a decent pick for Hill

Reimer would be better, but still not ideal

Why? Reimer is the superior goalie over Hill.

Hill would have a better save percentage had he not been injured basically since December. Bob said it's a lingering chronic injury.

Disagree. Reimer is clearly the better player. the 2nd rounder may never play in the NHL.

Yeah, but Reimer is old and has only like 2 years of good goaltending left after this season. Keep Hill, let him develop, and watch him grow. Plus what are the chances that 3rd or 4th become an NHL player?

2 years is about what we need. Ben Gaudreau will be with the Cuda or Sharks by then

I’m not 100% on that. I rather go with the longer term option in Hill and see where it goes. Give him a full season healthy and I’m sure he’ll grow his value. We just need to patient.
