Doesn’t make much sense that Montreal have to pay the 35 overall pick to get rid of contract because they took Dadonov and also get back by 20 rank in the draft. We already have many players to be dealt next year at the deadline. Byron, Drouin, Hoffman, Allen, i do les expect Hugues to get return like he did this year but i could very well see a couple of 2nd round and maybe some b prospect. Drouin is a interesting one, he is on a contract year and i assume he will bounce back. Lets say he have 50 points by the deadline, is stock will be pretty high so the Habs might get a first. But that’s the best case scenario. Edmundson would probably be their best assets if they explore a trade in is case.
