Rangers get a super elite offensive dynamo with 3 Cups and a Conn Smythe. At 50% RS.
In return the Hawks get a G and an underperforming former top 2 pick.

Remove Kakko, obviously, and the picks.
Maybe you can get another oick if you find a 3rd team to retain another 50%.

Even then, the rangers don’t have cap space to sign a 2C or 3C.

The asking price for Kane is documented all over media as a 1st, two A prospects and a young NHL talent. You’re getting Patrick Kane, not one of his sisters. (Though I might take that trade too…)

The Kane trade has 1 too many 1 round picks. Otherwise I think that’s what Davidson would ask for.

Toews is not worth that much at all unfortunately. His value may not even be a 1st round pick anymore. At 50% retention you’re getting a banged up 34 year old Toews who posts <0.5ppg as a top center who plays PP1 minutes.

Show me the last time a mid 30 yo with one year left on their contract pulled 4 1sts... I'll be waiting

Hawks would be lucky to get a first for toews.
The value on the Kane trade is pretty close tho. The Capfriendly rangers fans are just strongly against it for some reason. They think they need a 2nd line center but if Kane and panarin are on a line you can put me as their center and I'd put up an easy 60 points .

That’s really too bad for a player like him who was one of the very very best players in NHL for a long long time.

Kane does not play to his age. He’s over 1 ppg on a struggling team. He’s worth a substantial pkg. Maybe take out Kakko and replace with a D prospect and it’s good.

Misrepresent a little. There is also Chytil and 2 first round picks, and all for ONE YEAR of Kane. NO THANKS from the Rangers.

Why not give him an extension? Why be so kind to the Rangers?

Give up a superstar that still produces for under performing picks? Nah, you can KEEP HIM, or trade him elsewhere.

Hawks can ASK whatever they want, but that doesn't mean they get it. No chance the Rangers give them what they want, plus they can't afford Kane with retention anyway. Find another dance partner for him.

Kaner is on pace for 102 points on a bum team. How many points does he get on a line with Panarin and Zibanejad? 120??

We are against it because it would be ONE YEAR of Kane and that's it. That is not worth the asking, not even close.

Kane would only accept a trade to somewhere he plans on finishing his career. He's not just trying to win another cup. He'd resign to keep playing with his buddy

The Rangers don't have any cap room to sign him after his deal runs out, so unless he wants to play for league minimum, which I doubt, he would be with the Rangers 1 year and that's it. No thanks.
