Dadonov is still good enough to play in the top-6 on next years Detroit team. This would be a pretty good deal for us.

If dadonov didn't want to go to Anaheim, I'm not sure what is appealing about going to Detroit

Hell I bet COL would take the ANA trade for Dadonov, run it through AZ to retain a couple of million and have a nice cheap middle 6 option.

Arizona is already retaining on three players and can't do more.

State taxes

Im almost 100% sure wings arent on his list if you look at the teams with high % taxes . L.a,s.j , ducks are 3+ mtl tor ott . I forget the other teams but detroit is like 4% . Im sure we’d be able to make the deal

I think it has to do more than just taxes. I still think the NHL should give some cap relief to teams that have tax benefits like Florida. That way it evens the playing field a little more

This ACGM is this season and this season is when Dadonov needs to be moved.

The Arizona retention slots don't open up until the 1st. of July which is too late for them to factor in here.

Regardless , teams should stop throwing all contracts and assets to a team with no income

That literally has to make it to the salary floor they have 46M in salaries on the books for next year $11M of which is to permanently injured players whose salaries are paid by insurance. And who said they have no income? They still have money from the national tv and radio deals, money for whatever local broadcasting rights they have, yeah they’re moving into a 5k seat arena but the average ticket price is like $160, plus all their merchandizing deals so how is it they have no income and won’t need contracts?

You don’t think the league would block a salary dump trade by VGK, especially one that they already tried to move once, one that wouldn’t be able to play for the new team. The NHLPA would throw a massive **** fit.

I can’t imagine how ridiculously high income taxes are on a $5M salary in CA. I’ve read that CA and NY make professional athletes from visiting sports team pay taxes on their per game average salary for playing there.
