I really don't know why the Leafs would have any reason to bring back Campbell unless he shines in the playoffs.

Canes want nothing to do with Holl. We will keep our 4th.

I don’t see a trade that brings a goalie back and Dubas will probably sign another bum like Mrazek again if it isn’t Campbell

Your 4th pick has about a 90% chance of never playing in the NHL for any meaningful amount of time

Campbell really hasn't been that special since mid December. It just might be Mrzarek and Kallgren unless there is a cheap UFA who wants to come to the Leafs.
If the Leafs need cap, the only guy who might be tradable with much cap coming back is Nylander.

And trading him would be by far the dumbest move as he is the only one of the big four who isn’t overpaid

That’s the funny thing about the Canes. The fourth round for the past decade seems to be the Canes strong round. I mean, just look at Slavin. Taken in the fourth round, and now he is the best defensive dman in the league.

Fair point. You’re organization has drafted well over the last several years. That must be nice.

Thanks for proving my point. Tavares has NMC, and Marner can't be traded without bring significant cap back. OK you want Matthews to be traded. As I suggested if the Leafs need to free cap space, Nylander might be the only guy possible.

I wouldn't trade Marner after what the first line has created, Nylander or Tavares would be the one that needs to go

Jaccob Slavin was a 4th round pick, Carolina will trust their draft board, as probably the best team in the NHL on the draft floor.

Good luck getting Tavares to waive his nmc. Even if you clear that hurdle I can't see a team taking his full cap hit. Leafs would have to retain a couple mil or take big contracts back

What in the hell has Jack Campbell done to deserve term and 4+million dollars. By this logic Andrew Hammond is worth 5mill with term as he had about a 50 game streak with Ottawa where he was one of the best goalies in the league a few years ago. Campbell is a 2 mill dollar goalie.
