Leafs continue to fill the bottom half of the roster with cheap young talent.
I'm excited to see what this kid can do.

I don't like this signing, another 5'10", 160 pound forward. When is Dubas going to get some players with size?

This is a stupid comment. This kid has good potential and has earned a look on the leafs roster. Who cares about size if he’s a good player.

They should care about size and grit because that’s been their issue on advancing in the playoffs. There’s only so many short players you can put in the lineup before they get pushed around.

People forget Kucherov, Point, Gourde, Coleman were all under 6'0

And they all got 2 cups

This kids got the playmaking skills to do some damage lets see if he continues at the NHL level

As lets be real does not matter the size, its how you play. If Abruzzese and the team play that playoff style of hockey they are set. If not then going no where.

Plenty of examples of small player who play with grit and big ones that aren’t physical. If he plays with an edge his size is irrelevant.

Ironically he is a playmaker who wore16

We currently got a playmaker who wears 16 in Marner

If Abruzzese can adapt to the NHL we could have 2 playmakers in the top 6

They literally just signed 6'9 Curtis Douglas before this lol.

And last night's game against Boston had only two players under 6'0. And one of them scored.

In nowadays game small players can do good. They won’t get trucked if they dangle through the neutral zone.

Abruzzese (and all players) aren't gong to be judged by their size, but by contribution to an NHL club. Leafs really don't have any NHL ready centre prospects so Abruzzese is given a long look this season.
It's really iffy if he an NHLer in the future.
