First I see an offer by another Toronto fan of Nylander for Cody Glass and a first. Now I see this one. Why are Maple Leafs fans suddenly discounting Nylander so much?

If that's the price, we'll happily offer Alex Turcotte and our 2022 first for him.

Some Leafs fans just have this weird mostly irrational hate for Nylander. I doubt he’s actually on the trade block. If he is, I might consider you’re offer depending on how high the pick is. Maybe a Byfield Nylander swap could work?

No one will overpay for someone who doesn't like to back-check (embarrassing)

I don’t see Nylander being a target for NSH. I find it hard to believe that he would re-sign in NSH after his contract is up— he seems like a guy that wants to play in a big hockey market.

If Nashville re-signs Forsberg, maybe it can be a market for him since they are both from Sweden

He’s pretty North American at this point—at least it feels that way, so I don’t see that being as big of a selling point for him as it would be for others. He just seems like someone who would want a NY or LA experience, imo. And both of those clubs have their own Swedish connections.

Just the usual TML fanbase, which got hockey knowledge from NHL 2019 and whos sky is falling after few missed decisions or faults by "another scapegoat player"....

2,06 Andersen comes to mind........

The reason why Nylander isn't on the trading block is due to his best friend, Kyle Dubas, promised to not trade him while he is the GM of the Leafs. Respectable GM's don't make any promises to their players

Loyalty and hurting the feelings of a player is something I don't want in an NHL GM, Dubas will probably extend Campbell to an insane contract so he can stop crying to the media. Not sure if you heard about the Flames, but one Flames forward (Monahan) was in the press box for playing like a Nylander, this is an example of type of organization that I want the Leafs to run

When I said loyalty I was mostly kidding, but Dubas gave him that “promise” because he wasn’t old enough for an offical NTC.

As for the press box thing, I don’t see how scratching Nylander, one of the teams best players solves anything.
