Leafs fans seem to like to have scapegoats.

Just saying, we have a slightly used Blake Comeau here and he's perfect for the role.

In return we'd want those future considerations TOR got in exchange to Menell.

And the funny thing is its not guys like Holl, Simmonds, or Engvall they go straight to the super stars and make them scapegoats lul

They're the usual suspects. People know they're sh*t so blaming them is worth nothing.

Roman Josi's 81 points is the 3rd highest by a defenseman over the last 20 years and the season is not even over. Only behind Burns (83) and Karlsson (82).

I went to a Leafs game for the first time tonight, and I never realized before just how much Leafs fans hate Nylander. It is completely insane. For Willy’s sake I really hope he gets traded out of this hellhole.

Yes, because I’m sure MTL fans have never ridden a player out of their hellhole either.

Habs fans on Twitter are garbage. But I’ve never seen/heard this ridiculous vitriol in person.

howd he do tonight

He was a little loose with his positioning, but that's to be expected. Maybe a little bit of nerves.

The thing I noticed most is that he needs to work on his strength. He was like a saloon door trying to pinch off a rushing attacker on the boards. There were 3 or 4 attempts where Devils just squeezed right through him.

A little timing and adjusting to the speed perhaps, but he wasn't making enough solid contact to significantly impede them.

He did seem to have a long leash, which is a refreshing change. St Louis didn't staple him to the bench for jumping up, making a bad read, or the aforementioned players getting by him on the boards.

Overall a solid debut. Had some good minutes, wasn't a detriment, showed some ability, and identified some areas to work on.

2 damn things:
Don't ever pit Byron in the shootout, he fu****g sucks.
WHY DONT ANY OF THE HABS COACHES EVER PUT ROMANOV PUT IN OT

Byron has 9 goals in 21 attempts for 42% with Montreal.
He's far from a bad choice.

Devil must have been a great game to attend

All the games I’ve been to this year have been insane

Vs Blackhawks: Devils choke multi goal lead, win in Overtime (Jack Hughes)

Vs Blues: Devils choke multi goal lead, win in Overtime (Dougie Hamilton)

Vs Canadiens: Devils choke multi goal lead, win in Shootout (Sharangovich)

And I’ve of course lost my voice at all three games

Devils need a Heimlich maneuver based on the amount of choking they do

sounds good. the thing that was most noticeable in his two games with colorado was bad passes, either he would send the puck to someone who was well covered or miss a guy by 10ft wih a pass. i was thinking it was either nerves or speed. but by the sound of his game in montreal it probably wasn't nerves and he just had a hard time adjusting to the speed of the avs.

do you think they'll send him down soon?

Didn't notice any bad passes and he wasn't credited with any giveaways. Had 4 shot attempts with only 1 being blocked. Even deployment and no special teams. No goals for or against, but we were out shot with him on the ice.

I think he'll get a few more games in before they send him down for AHL playoffs. They'll probably do some more work with him in practice and get some looks on special teams. Give him a chance to get on the board and get the pressure of the first point/goal off before next season.

How long are Blackwood and Bernier out for? Also I don’t think I’ve seen a goalie who got picked less than 2 years ago in the draft , already be in the NHL full time. This is crazy with Daws
