I think he'd be a great option for them, especially as a team that lacks a true superstar (which Torts has been accused of mishandling in the past). Plus, it's not like there's many other options out there that could have the same effect. Hiring another decent but unremarkable coach wouldn't take the Flyers anywhere. Hiring Tortorella has its risks, but there's no reason for a team like the Flyers to play it safe when they've already laid their future on the line for a team that isn't producing.

I think Torts could be a fantastic guy to do that. Plus now that Giroux is out a some sort of culture change might have a place for it.

If the market wasn't high, I wouldn't have predicted that. Stop trying to make excuses, and acknowledge that I was totally correct.
Ratio + L + anyone who never puts capitals in sentences should be placed in 1st grade + petry fell off

I like Byrons model and going off of it you’d probably end up with a better prospect pool than half of the teams in the NHL. That being said, it overrates players in great situations and underrates players who aren’t always put in a position to succeed.

His model is based on production only. For defenseman he classifies a star producer as someone who produces at at least .45 PPG. Dobson’s PPG throughout his NHL career is .41, this season it’s .60. It looks like Dobson will meet his star requirements despite being given a 2% chance to do so

im fully aware you were right but prices were inflated as hell, and your non inflated prices were high as well
L + ratio + capitals are overrated + also capitals are overrated + ducharme is stupid + literally everyone fell off

Using models to predict prospects and AHLer's possible impact makes no sense to me, it's just lazy scouting imo. However, using them for NHler's make a lot more sense as long as you understand what it means

I think it’s a good tool, for example his model said to pick Kaprizov in the middle of the 1st rd in 2015, but it also had Mitch Vande Somple (isles bust) in the 1st rd. You have to use a mix of video and models IMO
