I do think for the sake of having deeper lines that breaking up Matthews and Marner is the way to go. That doesn't mean Keefe can't sneak in Matthews/Marner combination to catch the other team off guard.
What happens in the playoffs is teams pick one line that they will not allow any goals to so to combat that Keefe needs that second line to be dangerous.
I would have Tavares and Marner together because that makes the second line scary. Matthews is good enough to have Bunting and Kerfoot or Bunting and Nylander and still be tons of trouble for the opposition.
