You can't trade Lucic for buyout purposes and then sign him, the current CBA forbids it.

It's cup circumvention and the New CBA won't allow it.

No reason to touch Monahan. The way his career has gone the last few years, I don't think Ottawa wants him in the top 9. I'm putting Norris-Stützle-Pinto over him every day of the week. He's a huge defensive drag, he doesn't drive offense and he doesn't finish offense.
