Instead of throwing that million towards subban if hes just gonna be scratched, use it for some forward depth

Anaheim declines, It's extremely doubtful Gibson waives for Toronto or any Canadian City for that matter.

Nylander's contract expires at the end of two more seasons, which is exactly when we should be starting to contend again. Gibson's contract, meanwhile, extends into the Ducks' contention window for four entire seasons. Reasonable minds can differ about Gibson's value, but to me the contract comparison argues against exchanging one for the other.

I agree, but I look at the depth on forward being Steeves, Knies, Abrusse.
Like everyone has commented I doubt this trade happens, but it's something I wish could happen.
