Wouldn't dream of it. What could we possibly need him for? Colin White can slot into his spot and we get a pick and a prospect on top? This is the Bill Guerin way.

It's very low value compared to every other Fiala trade on here. I wouldn't be suprised for him to go for something like this though, or to go to arbitration and have other cap casualties cause while White is good he is a fundamentaly different player that is 3 zone rather than Fiala's 1 zone.

I know, I made sure of that

I have never been less confident in a Wild GM than I am now

I edited my post after you replied, but I have never been less confident in a Wild GM. I think Guerin doesn't value Fiala, I think he doesn't think Addison has a future here, and I don't think he's smart enough to get proper value for them.

That’s seems like a pretty baseless opinion

No more or less baseless than most opinions thrown around here.

Lol I LOVE White and Sharky but that's a remarkably one sided deal for Ottawa

I just don’t understand what Guerin has done to show you that he doesn’t value Fiala or Addison. He actually brought Addison into the organization via trade, not to mention he was the assistant gm at Pittsburgh when they drafted him. Whether or not he values Fiala as a player doesn’t really matter, I’m pretty sure he’s smart enough to see how the rest of the league values him and he can use that to his advantage to get a good return.

4 and a half million over the cap? Seems like him.

The cap is just a minor detail, no use dwelling on it when you're trying to build the best team

When I made my rage post earlier, I was really hoping you or some other regular would have an alternative argument for why I shouldn’t be upset and how it is actually a shrewd signing.

One of the few times I legitimately wanted to be roasted for an ACGM and be proven wrong.

    Doesn’t look promising.
