Would rather keep Samberg, hopefully he's learning to play on his offhand.

Do you think with Gawanke, Chisholm, Heinola and Kovacevic that the Jets could afford to move one of their Dmen for a Copp-type replacement? I chose Samberg since hes the only one who cant play his off hand yet probably has some of the most trade value.

Oh they definitely could and probably should but I'm one of the few who thinks size still matters in hockey and especially on defense so would prefer to keep Samberg but you are right, they have a glut of D prospects and NHL caliber dmen so some need to go, hope to see a slightly bigger trade or two involving some of these D to fill some other holes in the lineup, I haven't seen much of Steel so can't really say if he fills any of those holes.

I'd decline the first deal unless it was a sign-and-trade such that we knew we were getting Fiala long-term and at a contract we were happy with. Fiala on McTavish's LW and Milano on Zegras' LW for the next 5 years is an exciting prospect.

I'd take the second deal because you can't have too much quality defense depth. By now, I think that Steel's ceiling is bottom-6 forward.

I'd take the third deal because I think that Larsson's worth is a third, and here we're getting something/someone extra.

The Jets probably aren't trading Samberg. If they move a defenseman or would probably be an older one. Schmidt might be available due to cap.

He's a stay at home guy. At one point showed promise to be a decent number 4 but is more suited for bottom pairing. Think lesser Gunny
