Dumba isn't accepting a trade to Arizona or signing an extension there

That's not the type of offer Arizona would have interest in for Chychrun

Their GSVA over the last 4 years is extremely similar, add in another Defensemen thats got upside and would play in the NHL next year its a pretty fair deal

Dumba lives in AZ during the offseason, I can definitely see him accepting a trade there and signing an extension.

No, it isn't.

Dumba is worse, 4 years older and more expensive

NJ would be all over this. I honestly don't love any of the goalies out there and this would provide a perfect stop gap for the next year or two. Talbot and Blackwood would be a solid duo I think. Next year will be Blackwood's final assessment year and think Talbot would be good guy to pair him with

Chychrun last 4 years: 1.1,1.2,1.8,-.3(pace) 4 year average .95
Dumba last 4 years: 1,.5,1.1,1.2(pace) 4 year average .95
If dumba were to sign an extension of at least 4 years its worth it for AZ.
Addison is an NHLer right now as well

Not the single defining stat of a player by any means, but definitely a good indicator. Their Stats are incredibly similar, and if dumba wanted to sign for 6 years in AZ that would be better for their franchise.

I can't think of a single reason he ever would want to sign an extension there. Also previously mentioned Dumba is significantly older than Chychrun and the only reason your "average GSVA's" are close is because of the disaster of a team Arizona is this year vs how good Minnesota is

Again, Dumba lives in Arizona during the summer, I would assume he probably likes the area and would sign an extension there. Dumba is 3.5 years older, but still only going to be 28. Their counting stats through their first 340 GP are incredibly similar. If you wanna exclude their worst year for Average GSVA, Dumba is at 1.1 Chycrun is at 1.3. Go look at any advanced metrics over a large sample size and you will see they are similar players. Plus the clock is ticking on Az trading Chycrun as his M-NTC kicks in after next year.
