Description

Made one earlier for if the playoffs do go well what I would do. Here is what I would do if they don't go well. I think us winning/loosing first round has a huge impact on direction of this team going forward. Lose in first I think means time for a huge retool. Win in first round it shows we still have a shot to contend.

Petterson to Detroit for a 3rd makes a lot of sense for both teams, I don't see why either team would say no to that deal.

Pettersson to Detroit i can definitely see that happening this summer, Yzerman is on record wanting a top 4 LD with term. And Pettersson fits our young core age.

Penguins would be insane to trade all that for Miller than go out and spend 9 million on Forsberg.

Keep Carter and Letang; idk how Pens fans feel about Marino but the two old guys should be in it for the long haul with whatever this Crosby-Malkin core is still capable of. Then maybe pick one of the three RDs you have to sign in UFA.

Well Letang wants a 5 year contract, which I just don't think is possible. If he is willing to sign for less term then go for it, but I don't know if he will, and he has all the leverage to go get paid a lot elsewhere. If we win first round then I'm fine running it back, but if we lose first round we have to make changes. 4 first round exits in a row I think you have to.
