Brock Faber is not available under any circumstances.

Anderson and/or Bjornfot will not be traded either. It defeats the purpose of making this trade. The Kings need more LHD, not just an upgrade. You obviously have no idea who Anderson is if you have him playing on your third pairing with a $800k extension. He's been playing top pairing minutes for 2+ seasons now and is likely going to get $4M+ this summer.

Replace Faber with Grans or Spence and drop Anderson from the trade return and the Kings would consider it.

Nothing comes free in life and ARZ wants the equivalent of 3 1sts for Chychrun. That offer alone is underwhelming considering what else could be on the market by that time. These are greats youngsters but are getting way overhyped by this comment. LAK should add here or at least trade a better prospect than Vilardi/Faber. Classic « that guy is untouchable » fan crying.

I put it lower because of the usual "this kid is untouchable ", but even this they whine about.

The Kings don't have a lot of untouchables, but Faber is one of them. The Kings see him as the next Charlie McAvoy.

We're not trading Faber for the same reason that you're not trading Cole Caufield -- they're seen as in the top 5 prospects across the NHL at their position within their draft class. There is a reason why Faber is considered on the same plane as his fellow Big Ten defensemen Owen Power and Luke Hughes. Now you can quarrel with the authorities that named Faber Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year over those two worthies, who admittedly have an advantage over him offensively, but you can't ignore the fact that they did so.

The regard with which Faber is held isn't a result of Los Angeles fan homerism; it's the considered judgment of professionals. If you want to sneer at that, go ahead.

Good trade idea OP! I'd say Vilardi, Faber, 1st and 2nd is required for Arizona to consider dealing with LA (which is pretty much what you also had). This is a fair return, according to rumors and logic, but also makes sense for both teams as Arizona need a defenseman to replace Chychrun and Bill Armstrong likes size (Vilardi). LA has a lot of RD and can afford to lose one of them. Clarke would be nice, but I'd be open to compromise to get a deal done.

Kings will stay the course at that point then
