you have 3 Million in cap space why not take all of the Dumba contract and give up far less?

Besides wild gm not trying to trade dumba, they aren't trading him for codi ceci, and bunch of bad picks

With all due respect, because dumba isn't a cap dump. Cody ceci is a cap dump And he's not good. Look at it from Minnesota's perspective

How is ceci a cap dump? He’s been playing on the oilers top pair for a sizeable chunk of the season.

Yes Ceci is a cap dump right after we signed him and is playing on the first pair.
Is this serious?

The MN trade is terrible for Edmonton. They don't need a poor-man's Tyson Barrie, they need more defensemen who make life miserable for opponents in the Oilers zone. Wrong target & overpay.

Keith won't waive for Montreal, and Drouin is another soft, non-contact forward who can't score goals. Again, wrong target & overpay.

Also, what did Brett Kulak do to get a raise?

Capfriendly cap dump checklist:
1. Over $5M or otherwise too much money and term.
No, and not really.
2. Over 30 years of age.
No. He's 28.
3. Not on my team.
He's not on Minnesota, so this one checks out.

So he only really meets 33% of the criteria to be a cap dump and that disappears if he's traded to Minnesota. sarcasm

That person comments on all the Wild ACGMs and thinks all the players on the Wild have a lot more value than they do and players on other teams are cap dumps... think they get banned and create a new account ever few weeks.

He wouldn't even make 3rd pairing in Minnesota. There's a difference between playing 1d in Edmonton, and Minnesota.

There's a difference between a cap dump and a player that is not needed by a certain team.

So your seriously thinking soo high of the wild that a player playing top pair on a playoff bound team wouldn’t make the line up? Cmon let’s be real. I will admit the wild don’t need him enough to justify paying what Edmonton would actually expect. Just because it’s not a team would expect to be interested doesn’t make ceci a cap dump.
