Vancouver Intern

Created by: reelkena
Team: 2022-23 Vancouver Canucks
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 31, 2022
Published: Mar. 31, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The Edm trade is missing a piece before everyone yells about a free Broberg. That team does need depth forwards and the pile is not as bad as one may think. Both trades we eat a pretty poor contract on the way back also.

I think Holloway takes a jump next year, and the need for Pearson would be less. Combined with Mcleod looking really good this year, I don't think it would be worthwile to give up broberg for pearson (even though your saying there's another piece, I don't think this deal is considered)

What's the other piece - Demko with 50% retained? Otherwise forget about it. Edmonton doesn't have the cap space for these moves anyhow.

That's pretty bad for Edmonton and while they could use some depth forwards they're only really gaining one who realistically is probably an overpaid 4th liner, they can get a similar to player as Dickinson for much less in free agency.

No thanks on Tyler Myers. Not really a need especially at 6 million for 2 more years after this one

Every deal is god awful for Edmonton.

Which is why you make so many trades.

What you guys need to do is shut down your GM office and sit on all your players until their contracts run out. Because the fan base hates every move.

I would never put value in an Oilers fans opinion.

Trade is close. Maybe it doesn't have to be Broberg. He's projecting bust anyway.

It's 4.5 next year if you count removing the buried contract. And Myers has played his way back up the value train with a very good half season. If he was at 4.5 million I wouldn't wanna move him. Nashville has the space.

I wouldn't wanna sign 7 of the 10 above him. So glad you could make the trip.

Oh yeah and way to cherry pick exactly 20 year olds.

That may be but there still isn’t a use for him. Fabbro and carrier has played well enough to not lose their spot in the top 4 and I’m not paying 4.5 million for a bottom pairing and someone to come in when there is an injury.

No its not, it's very accurate.

This is terrible for the Oilers, trading Broberg for that would be a really bad move.
