I'd love this for the canucks. A bit confused by Ekman-Larsson getting so many minutes and Zadina not being signed.

Swap OEL pair with Hughes, that's fine. I think Zadina could use a season or at least half in the AHL, just my opinion

I'm not against the idea of swapping Hronek and Zadina for Boeser and Poolman, but I don't like the fact that the Wings are giving up two 2nd rounders to do it.

I've gotta tell you that dropping Zadina to the AHL is a bad idea. His game lives and dies off of his confidence, and I'd say getting traded and then immediately dropped to the AHL for an entire season is one of the most demoralizing things a player can go through, especially a player like Zadina who's already spent multiple seasons exclusively with the big club. There's a chance it pays off, but it'd have to be a quick stint to let him score a bunch and get more confidence in his shot. Keeping him down there for an extended period of time would be crushing to his development IMO.

Don’t think the Canucks would get two 2nds as well in that Detroit trade, but I like the general idea of that move

There is a reason Hronek is the 2nd most popular Red Wing in ACGMs. RHDs are in far greater demand. I know Boeser is the main piece coming to Detroit but Poolman is awful he is worse defensively than Hronek and he has Jonathan Ericsson like production and he is almost 5yrs older. Detroit could resign Dekeyser and pair him with Poolman. Detroit really doesn't need any more wingers until they fill other holes and Boeser's 38 points rank him 28th among RWs. It makes no sense to trade Hronek for Boeser. But I do agree with the 2 2nd rd picks send the value way off the edge of the map.

Not only is Detroit doing this deal, they're signing Myers as soon as you buy him out. Maybe not both 2nds though.

There's no way Zadina would make it to the AHL. He'd be picked up on waivers.

Hronek and Zadina alone are worth Boeser and Poolman Detroit's not adding 2 2nd round picks on top of it.
