I just can't see Detroit ever wanting Mrazek back. Why trade a 3rd when Yzerman can sign a UFA goalie?

I just picked a team at random, the Leafs can clear his salary in many ways.

No they can't. M NTC Mrzarek just might be a Leaf for the next two year. Kase probably turns that offer and signs elsewhere. As a UFA RHD. Lybushin get more $$$ somewhere. What happened to Holl?
20 man rosters don't work.

I’d also guess that both Lily and Sandin get more on a 3 year term. 1.75 might work for a 2 year deal though.

Mrazek has a 10 team no trade list, And zero chance any GM takes him without either Dubas retaining or adding sweeteners to the deal.

he is soo injury prone that all the leafs need to do is work him hard at practice. he is a non issue. Either he is moved or LTIR'ed

Mrazek will be harder to trade than you want to admit. Not impossible though.

difficult, yes. There will be options. Usually the Leafs will go after a guy on LTIR who's contract isn't insured. That way a smaller market owner at least gets a player for his $
For instance say Ottawa's Matt Murry's injury is way worse than we think and his career is over and Ottawa didn't insure the contract. We trade Mrazek straight up for Murry, put him on permanent LTIR and pay him off the cap.

One thing which impresses me about the Leafs is that it seems each time they put a player on waivers, he gets claimed. If Mrazek is bought out he'd be on the Leafs cap for 4 years. Dubas could add a sweetener to move him. Assuming he's still Leafs GM this summer.

Didn't we only get a 4th for Mrazek from Philly? He hasn't done anything to raise his stock since then. Plus he's older and more injury prone now.

C'mon, moved? And just because a team doesn't like a players value, he can't be put on LTIR for two years.

It was a 3rd and Detroit drafted Seth Barton. But he was MUCH better when we traded him.

Yeah I recall Holland loving Jimmy Howard and basically giving Mrazek away. Kenny carried that bad blood from the arbitration hearing.
