Yamamoto cozens krebs would be a wild line, but Thompson is In buffalos plans for 1a or 1b scenario with cozens so probably not selling for under a top rhd dman and a possible Center replacement.

Does Thompson mostly play C or RW? admittedly i dont watch a ton of Sabres games. I just like his size and ability to put up points.

Mainly Center I believe, and also the Sabres have big plans for him.

Right a list of all assets leaving Edmonton and what’s coming in and see how badly that adds up while not making the team really any better. Banking on a tandem that has a combined experience of half a season?

The goalie situation for Edmonton is grim. Not sure what they can do this offseason. With the little cap room they have to work with they certainly cant take a run at Kuemper. I highly doubt Fleury would choose to sign in Edmonton, and I dont see any teams with 2 reliable 1A/1B goalies that would be willing to move one in a trade that doesnt involve the Oilers giving up an asset that they arent comfortabe giving up(Holloway, Broberg).
What do u suggest they do with the goalie situation this offseason??

Don't think that will happen with Buffalo, Thompson fell into are 1C spot. Kid has looked fantastic, just popped his 31st. Buffalo says NO.

Nah, we don't even reply. It's one of those trades that are so bad, that when someone sends it to you, you just ignore.

Here, as a Sabres fan who admittedly is not a huge Thompson supporter, lll be as objective as possible. Thompson was a winger until this season, and a bad one at that. His future here looked grim, he was a black hole on the wing. Then the eichel fiasco happened, and because adams and the front office chose to draft Quinn (who has been lovely so far) over a center like rossi, perfetti, or Lundell, we were left a bit short on center talent. Thompson started playing center and has looked better. He tends to be a shoot first center, which is working on his line, I would like to see more playmaking if he's going to be what people call a 1c. Plus the defense needs work.
