That seems like a overpayment for Severson. Really don't want to trade Johnson, he is a a good candidate to switch to RD if need be.

This is a tough one for me. I really like both players, though you kinda know what youre getting in Severson. I still think you see what Johnson can do first before thinking about moving him

I like Johnson alot, and the bonus is that he played a lot of RD at Minnesota this year with some of the injuries they had. He was very fluid with it to going back and forth.

100%. It cannot be understated how bad this team needs a defense first RD to pair with Dahlin/Power. Pysyk is okay but not who you want with your superstars. I do wonder if Samuelsson could play on the right as well? That feels like it could work because I LOVE his game

It's funny you mention that, a right handed Samuelsson is exactly what the Sabres should be looking for. I think skating is the sticking point for a guy playing his opposite side, Samuelsson I don't think would be that guy, johnson who is a very good skater makes more sense. Of course, johnson isn't that defense first physical d that we want to pair with dahlin or power.

It feels really weird to say that the sabres may not have room for a point per game ahl player who is 20 years old in peterka next year but that is truly the case with how the team is playing as of late lol. The logical move would be to switch him with asplund but the defensive strength asplund brings to the line is severely underrated. Love the team just may be a touch of an overpayment on severson but the craziness of the value of RHD it is understandable.

Carries that line defensively Asplund. Gonna be interesting to see what they do with Olofsson. And if they bring in another C does Mitts fit.
