Would you swap Wood for Zacha? Also sucks to lose all that draft capital, but i think either way devils take that.

Why are Leafs fans always dumping players on Buffalo, Seattle and Arizona? LOL

Some of those signings aren't "player friendly". Why would the Leafs go into the season with so much cap space?

I have watched enough of Mrázek to know it will take a lot to get him off of the pay roll.
Unlike other Sabre fans, I think Holl and Engvall would fit into the Buffalo line up.
Engvall is fast, plays hard, PK's, and can score occasionally.
He seemed to generate a scoring opportunity every time he was on the ice when the Leafs played the Sabres.
Holl is not flashy but is solid in his own zone, playing with Samuelsson they would be a great shut down pairing.
If he was paired with either Dahlin or Power, they could free wheel knowing he had their back.
I know all three are in the dog house with many Leaf fans, but so were Skinner, Okposo and Thompson in Sabre fans doghouse prior to this year suggesting it would take 5 or more first round picks to move them off of the roster.
Holl and Engvall surely pass my eye test.
I would make that trade.
If I were Karmanos I would offer Ruotsalainen instead of a pick. He may decide to sign with the Leafs and could be worth much more than a third.

EDIT:
Engvall is a cost control RFA and would most likely sign a low AVV contract.
Holl is a RHD at the 2023 TDL he would most likely return a third.
Meaning the Sabres would add a PK LW for nothing, same as signing a UFA.
