We already gave you Butcher retained and a pick fro futures. We're done doing that kind of stuff! Tatar has a yr left and his cap doesn't hurt us. Want him, sure but you will pay something for him

Im not sure if theyre looking to add forwards to be honest. Id be happy about it but who do you move to make room? Peterka and Quinn should be locks for next year.

Quinn yes, but it wouldn’t shock me if JJP starts in Rochester for 20-30 games (like Samuelson). Injuries happen, and Copp is such a versatile 2way forward that you can put him on a line with the young guys to stabilize defensively. Not to mention ZG and KO have one more year left, you’ll need a defensive minded vet forward to take that role.

And they still need to hit the cap floor, which they might struggle to do.

No problem with having 13 capable forwards. Injuries are inevitable, I’d like to add a top 9 forward who can play, when we start the season without one of our players, there would be room for Copp, Quinn and JJP

I don’t think the Sabres will have problems spending money this off-season. They are one of like five teams that have any. Teams gasping for cap space may have to make a trade with Buffalo to move salary at less than they want in return, just because nobody else can accommodate them.

Copp is a great idea for Buffalo, and I love the idea of adding Lars Eller as a replacement for Cody Eakin. I am curious what they plan to do in goal because I don’t think Anderson will continue to play after this year. He got his 300 wins, I think that’s what he was hanging on for. If they sign a legitimate veteran goaltender to mentor Luukkonen next year, and generally solidify the position they should be a playoff contender.

Yeah, thanks for that by the way. Butcher usually looks like he's playing for the other team.

Why do you think they paid us to take him? But we don’t really need Tatar anyway. I’m interested to see who Kevyn Adams is targeting.

We would not be retaining on a 2.5 million dollar, 23 year old forward. Nor would we be trading him for Ethan Bear

I feel like Eller might be worth more than a 5th rounder.

I’d pay a fourth rounder without thinking twice about it.
