Wilson just stepped down as GM, i have a feeling that whoever takes over will be cleaning house in the offseason trying to put his mark on the franchise.

I agree, however I don't see a whole lot of players with value who the sharks will actually want to move. Those big albatross contracts will be very hard.

If i was GM i would put Burns Bonino, Labanc, Nieto, Reimer, Simek, and Balcers on the block and see what i could get.
at this point i would take whatever i could get and tack it all up to a rebuild. addition by subtraction.
get us to the cap floor for next year and bring up the Kids to fight for spots with Gregor Leonard reedy etc.
next season would be an evaluation year and looking towards the future.
23 draft we pick up a top 3 pick and then start to build our roster through our drafting. the last 2 drafts have been exceptional if we can continue that we will be in good shape by 24/25.

Letting Barabanov walk? Doesn’t seem like a good idea to me. Don’t see Bordeleau making the 1st line, might not even make the team.

Easy NO from Ottawa

Labanc makes almost 12 M$ for the next 2 seasons.

Money that could be used a lot better.
