Not even close. Hughes would fetch alot more IF he was being traded.

Idk if I’d say a lot more, this is a really good return. Bratt is currently a PPG player and only 23, Holtz is one of the best prospects in hockey, and that 1st is currently a top 5 pick

Although if we were to ever trade Hughes (which is practically zero chance) I do think we’d ask for a top defense prospect coming back as part of it

I dunno about a lot more. A 24 year old p/g player, a 7th overall from 2020 who is p/g in the ahl and a top 5 pick in 2022 that probably gets them either Nemec or Jiricek is a pretty solid package already. Hughes is a fantastic player, but realistic offers don't get a lot better than this.

Realisticaly he wont get traded.we would ask for the moon and then some if he did, so my opinion is not so far off.

Van says no. He is not going anywhere. Plus its really not enough. This is what I might consider.

Mercer, Holtz, Makhumadulin, Severson
For
Hughes and a 1st rd pick
