Description
-Malkin has said he'd sign for less and that he really wants a 4th cup. Lets hope he really means it.
-I know Arizona won't just take Carter, but the contract needs to go some how and this just gets him off the roster,
-Pens getting Forsberg is mostly just a wet dream
-Hoping Zucker can come back and finish the season strong to make trading him easier. Not sure to where though.
-I'll miss you McGinn
-Pittsburgh strip district instantly starts selling PBR line shirts

That is wildly short of getting chychrun. Pittsburgh doesn’t have the assets to get him

What more do you think it would take? Another pick and a roster player?

Did Madden take a shot at Carter on the radio? A lot of people came in and discussed "their" opinion about Carter being a bad resigning all of a sudden. Group original thought I suppose... (roll eyes emoji)

Wouldn't know, I never listen to Madden. You're not gonna win a cup with your top 3 centers being 35+ though. Blueger is perfectly capable of being 3C and that frees them up money.

Blueger is capable of filling in at 3C for short bits due to injuries and such, he is not perfectly capable of being a 3C.

Chychrun cost way more than that, Detroit accepts. And Filip Forsberg wants closer to $9,000,000 to $9,500,000 per he's not taking $8,500,000 from Pittsburgh.

In my opinion Pittsburgh doesn’t have any combo of picks
And prospects they’d be interested in. LA has better of both of those things, Columbus was very interested and does as well. POJ doesn’t hold much value, and Pittsburgh’s 1sts are always late. There will be an offseason bidding war that the pens just can’t win

Pens aren't trading Carter no matter what. They just re-signed him to a reasonable contract, Hextall loves him, and he has been solid. Not sure where the sudden Jeff Carter hate is coming from. You need 4 good centers to win and they have that currently. Not to mention Carter has threatened to retire if he isn't playing in PGH or LA so that kind of puts a damper on that. That isn't even close to Chychrun and we hardly need him. It would be worse to give up the little farm we do have for him than to just not trade for him at all and save the few prospects and picks we have. Not sure why we are paying to get rid of Zucker, he hasn't played poorly. Considering he played most of the season with a core muscle injury that needed surgery to fix and looked really good when he came back for the game and a half he did, I can't see them trading Zucker. The LD I see them trading the most is Dumoulin. He is the oldest (outside of Letang) and is starting to decline. He would be better as a 2nd pair defenseman somewhere and pens should trade him for cap space and a decent pick while they can and make more room for POJ and Friedman. I could also see them re-signing Beaulieu cheap if he plays during the playoffs and plays decent. He'd be a solid and cheap 7th rotational D.

COL doesn’t have cap space for anymore bottom 6 players with McGinns cap and contract length
