I respect the dream, but ironically you kill any playoff hopes by adding the defensive blackhole that is ancient patrick kane. Dude's empty points now despite whatever the blackhawks ghosts(fans) of 2011 want everyone to believe.

This would be classic Sabres, jump the gun on the rebuild and become mediocre again with some terrible long term money. In 2 years after this you would be trading Power and Dahlin because they are sick of not making the playoffs. Patience Sabre fans, your day will come but only when you are ready.

Don't want Kane, and don't want Klingberg. He isn't the right partner for Dahlin or Power.

I completely disagree with this. The Sabers have close to $20MM in cap space and will add another $6MM to that the following season with the cap growing. Resigning Power and Dahlin will not be a problem and this stellar blue line creates security for the young speedy forward core to develop. But I do agree that the one year rental of Kane is a bit too much. I would rather put half that cash in a solid G1 with Anderson at G2. UPL needs more time to develop if at all.

Hawks and Kane decline. He wouldn't go to another rebuilding team and that offer isn't really close.
ChiHawk liked this.

I don't think they should even try to get Kane. We'll need to over pay for a guy with bad vibes. The teams vibes are so good right now no reason to mess with that.

LMAO 2011; so the best born american player ever in the NHL who is still a top 20 forward in the league is ancient and worthless since 2011? Good Lord is that a bad take

While I understand buffalo should not do this and Kane is unlikely to waive for Buffalo regardless, your take on Kane is just so inaccurate

Remove Bryson and add Johnson and JPP, that's what it's gonna cost for Kane, and hawk fans will moan its not enough. While sabres fans think it's crazy to give something of value for kane.
