    100%

Scandella is a pure cap dump with multiple years of term. It cost Kostin just to move him.

And the gap between Kyrou and Tkachuk is way bigger than a late 1st

Im not ignoring Kyrou's production this year, sometimes you just get lucky.

But were talking about completely different caliber players here

First of all, RAPM does not impress me. Don't care for that business as a way to compare players. The ultimate "cherry pick" statistical reference, if you ask me.

Secondly, Kyrou is getting lucky? What now?

    Reel it in, tiger.

If you choose to ignore a statistical system that is very logical and proven to work then thats your decision.

As for him being lucky, his on ice production and Goals For well exceeds his expected Goals For it usually means he is producing above expectation. While I think Kyrou is a solid player I wouldn't even consider moving Mangiapane for him, let alone downgrade from Tkachuk just for a scratch ticket

1 - Erm that statistical model is every bit as subjective as your opinion or mine. Obviously.

    2 - Heh. You're funny.

Rather hold onto Kyrou at 2.8 million than fork over 8-9 million for Matthew. We are already low on cap space and getting Matthew means trading more forwards just to get enough cap space. Also we need to still add to the defense. I'd trade Kyrou for a top LHD. Kyrou fits better into our cap plans than Tkachuk does

I’d think Tkachuk likely starts with Robert Thomas instead. But St. Louis is more likely to wait till Tkachuk hits the open market rather than give up premium assets for him. He’s made it well known that he wants to play for his hometown so why should the Blues go out and spend big if they can get him for free pretty soon anyways?

Ok fine, ask yourself this. Would you give Kyrou a 10M+ contract? Because most people seem to think that's the going rate of Tkachuk

This trade aside, I don't think Tkachuk is worth 10m tbh despite the insanity this year. I don't think I've ever seen a forward fit that well in a Sutter system.
