Its really not that bad a deal. Philly's pick this year is top 5 right? Ideally like to give Dahlin another year under a better version of the Sabres but this is a decent offer.

I would make a really facetious counter trade but Philly doesn't have anyone as valuable as Rasmus Dahlin so I couldn't do it. Bobby Brink for Cody Eakin is the closest I can do

Yes, it really is that bad.

No it's not a decent offer.

What are you basing that on?

Konecny and provorov both have solid underlying on ice impact numbers on a bad philly team. Both have show the ability to drive play for most of their career. When TK is on the ice the Flyers generate a high amount of shot attempts, something the Sabres could use more of.

Basing this on reality.

Take out olofsson and buffalo still isn't doing that.

You have olofsson on your top line, and you're getting dahlin. You really think this is enough? You must be new to hockey.

Dahlin, the best defensive prospect in 30 Years, and who has been an absolute stud this year. Seriously, this is laughable at best.

i didnt make the deal or roster dude lol. its a top 5 pick, top 6 fwd and top 4 right shot d-man (righties always end up costing twice as much cuz nhl). What did Eichel get again? Its a decent deal. Id still say no from BUF but at least i gave a reason and not the capfriendly equivalent of a tantrum.

And yes Im new to hockey, picked up a book this morning. Haven't quite gotten to the section on "how to deal with your own fan bases bottom 1 percent"

I dont care if you made it, you're defending it like it's good offer. Who the hell cares that it's a top 5 pick. Dahlin is a generational talent. Well, really multiple generational, since we are talking the past 30 years. This offer is ****.

If you're a Sabres fan you also know hes had his share of struggles. Part of that can be blamed on Krueger, but he also struggled first half of the year under Granato. I want him to work out, reach his potential on the Sabres. Thats why I'd say no to that deal, but for his current body of work, thats an okay offer. He hasnt taken off yet the way Makar and Fox have, so we cant pretend like hes already a generational player.

Dude. Its a **** offer. It doesn't get you anywhere near dahlin. Stop trying to justify it.

His struggles, he like every player under Krueger was misused.
