Offseason v 3

Team: 2022-23 Buffalo Sabres
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 11, 2022
Published: Apr. 11, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
-Not sure where Fiala's contract comes in. Opinions on 6 years for 6.5 mil per?
-IMO overpaying for PK Subban, but I think he could help mentor some of the young dman on this roster.
-Plenty of space to adjust for contracts, if the $$$ is too low on any of the RFA/UFA signings

I dont think ive seen many people trading for him, but he was one of the best 3Cs in the league, has a cup and plenty of experience on winning teams and may not cost much to add

Minnesota isn't doing this. Dumba also has 12 te no trade. Also only fiala is available, not dumba. What you offered doesn't get you fiala, much less both. Guerin is trying to resign dumba. Also, Minnesota has no need for G prospect, or ld prospect.

Idk I've noticed it a lot with Sabres GMs. Maybe he used to be, but not anymore. Now you'd be doing the caps a favor trading for him. You have Girgensons i don't see the point for the Sabres.

That Fiala thing you said is funny, don't worry about the G or LD cause they wouldn't be included anyway if it was just Fiala.

Not bad, don't think Minnesota does that. And wouldn't touch Eller.

Some may be quick to deny the Eller trade, but for what its worth, there isn't too much risk for the Sabres and he's a decent buy low guy for what its worth. Washington will need to get rid of him anyway so McMichael can play, so the price should be reasonable.

The reality is that TOR doesn't have to pay your asking price and can buy him out without spending assets.

Minnesota doesn’t do that. Ld prospect cupboard is packed already and have our goalie in the pipeline so that doesn’t help much. Also the latest 1st rounder doesn’t really move the needle here. Basically a middle6 center and 2 2nds for dumba and fiala. Just doesn’t do anything for the wild.

1 wild fan doesn't mean anything. Or supposedly he's.

The wild trade is interesting - I don't think they would trade both of them. Also, I think if that were the price to re-sign Fiala the wild would be able to move out enough money to make that happen next year.

Sure, but Mitts a 1st and 2nd for Fiala is more than fair for Fiala. Overpayment
