Youre probably 1-1.5 mil short on Nichushkin deal, probably needs another year of term.
If he was willing to take 3 x 3.5mil, COL would have already put pen to paper months ago

recently a analytics chart came out the should just how much either Drai's or McDavid's scoring picks up when they get put on a line with the bison king. Jesse is great 2 way forward and I have seen non-oilers fans on here say he is already one of the best forecheckers in the league

if you actually watched him play you would see how much of a presence he is when it comes to forechecking and driving the play. He has also been great defensively and all charts back up these facts. Debrusk is very good tho but jesse is 100% off limits. A much better option for a trade like that would be yamo+a third for debrusk.

Not in 2022. Debrusk has been the better player by a significant margin.

Much better for edmonton. Why do the bruins want to downgrade? They are in a win now phase.

And check my above comments. It hasn’t changed. Debrusk has been miles better than puljujarvi in 2022. He went through a major low point in his career during 2020-2021, but he’s been a different player in 2022. Played at a 46 goal pace.

DeBrusk is befitting for who he is playing along side where as JP centers are befitting from playing with him

Ok then why tf are we doing this trade then. Neither team wants to give up their guy so why are we trading him to edmonton. I promise you there is a much better deal in another destination.

This is where watching helps. It’s not like debrusk is just tapping in empty netters from marchand. He’s playing very well.

I’m sure this isn’t what you meant, but it really looks like you just said that Puljujarvi is helping McDavid more than McDavid is helping Puljujarvi. Is that the case?

1. Because debrusk is better than puljujarvi
2. Cost certainty.

Honestly i just don’t think either team moves either player.

Each player is more valuable to each team. Edmonton does not need a player like debrusk they have enough gritty goal scorers (Hyman,Kane, etc) and the bruins benefit a lot from that goal scoring depth that they need. This trade makes no sense for either side neither team benefits.

Puljujarvi is retrieving pucks for McDavid with his 2 way ability and in turn the this is effecting JP's offensive output. I would show u the tweet about that analytical chart I was talking about but where I am rn twitter is blocked on the wifi but Here is the thread where @Db1899 posted the tweet

just jumping in to ask if I'm looking at the same JDB you are? he's played 43 games since January 1st, 2022, and has 17 goals - which is a 32.4 goal/82 games pace. It's not bad at all, but a 46 goal guy would be a superstar and he's only getting, like, 2/3 of the way there.

Huh. Looking again i think i might have typed in 2/1 instead of 1/1 by accident. I know i did the math a couple days ago and it was a 46 goal pace and it was over 30 or 31 games. Definitely had the start date wrong though.

he's been on a heater the last 7 or 8 weeks so I could definitely see that being the pace since 2/1

intriguing but i dont think that makes the bruins happy. if thats the trade value they just try and amend the relationship with debrusk as hes been close to ppg since being in a top 6 role.

he was elevated to top line on 2/25. the production he has had being elevated from a 3rd/4th line role to a 1st line role has been significant. you cannot discount his play the last 2 months. its been pretty damn good.

Here's the comp since January 1st: NST

Puljujarvi is better and it's not close.
