Chychrun is a ridiculous move for this team. If you’re gonna spend those assets at least get a center instead (one younger and better than Schmaltz). His faceoff stats are terrible. If the idea is to improve that might be a downgrade on Strome.

Lindgren is really being propped up by Fox, who deserves a better partner. all those other pieces don't have spots on this team in the short or long term and their value isn't gonna get any higher.

This isn't to improve over strome, it's assuming some other team pays him 7+ mil a year and he walks. not saying schmaltz is better, though his faceoff % (45.8) is slightly better than strome (45.0)

I seriously think Fox regresses without a solid steady defensive presence next to him. I don’t think Chychrun is that guy. I think it best to keep running with what works and when Miller is ready he takes over the top pair spot next to Fox.

Detroit declines, neither player is a good fit.

No thanks, We already had Nemeth once and don't want him again. No thanks on Georgiev either we just signed Hellberg who could be our backup for the next 2 years or so.

Chris Drury will probably resign Andrew Copp, So yeah Strome would be definitely walking then.

Red Wings decline. Nemeth stinks and there's plenty of backup goalie options in UFA or trades.

Agreed that Nemeth has no value here and Georgiev would only make sense at a very cheap price. Hellberg is a GR signing with Pickard hurt and Brattstrom not exactly lighting it up in his absence. Hellberg is already 31 and I highly doubt he's in the organization's long term plans, let alone the Wings themselves.
