I'd say Matheson for the Pens. He went from a 3rd pairing defenseman to easily their second best. Plus Jarry was pretty solid until the playoffs.

I actually had Matheson at first, then I changed him for Jarry when I was searching through goaltenders lol

Saros, most improved? Nah. He was lights out last season and carried that over into this year. I'd say Duchene, easily.

He's improved a lot too.

I'd rank NSH as 1. Duchene 2. Johansen 3. Fabbro

Duchene is having a career year at age 31-- over a ppg player and could score 40 goals (only 19 in his previous two seasons with NSH combined). Gotta be him.

Columbus’s most improved should be Laine or Peeke, I feel like Gavrikov has been the same last season to this season, just was underrated and kinda hidden by the defensive presence of Savard last season so he’s had to be more noticeable for Columbus.

Laine’s attitude has greatly improved and so has his point totals, Peeke was thought of as a 6/7 d coming into the season and is now playing as a 3/4 and in the top pair with Werenski.

Also can’t wait for the list of players who’s gotten worse this season, that could be an interesting list.

i think romanov should be here instead of suzuki. suzuki is playing a but better than last year and its great, i think he will still improve in years to come, but romanov went from being our worst defensemen last season to play top pair this year and somehow managing alright in the process.

i would also have ryan hartman over gaudreau

I was debating Suzuki and Romanov, went for the former because he still hadn't showed the consistency he showed in this current season that is the longest he's played in, yet.

Agreed for Hartman, though Gaudreau is very surprising.

I’d say Hughes over Demko. Demko was very solid last year whereas Hughes was terrible defensively. This season, Hughes has gotten so much better defensively while playing with Schenn, Hamonic, and Poolman. He even plays on the PK now
