Not realistic for MTL if Hoffman isn’t going the other way

I don't think any team is giving up assets for Binnington

Jordan Binnington has a full NTC and i don't see him waiving for Edmonton, And that doesn't get him anyways.

EDM shouldn't offer that. Binnington sucks.

I think the notion of Keith retiring killed all potential realism from this post.

He's having one bad season, After winning the cup 3 years ago. he will be fine. This usually happens after players sign huge contracts.

That usually applies to goalies who switches teams. Binnington did not.

However STL did lose Pietrangelo, and I'm certain that has an impact on how they (and Binnington) perform.

Regardless his contract is an albatross and it has negative trade value. To the point he's becoming a $6M dollar 2G to Husso.

If I had an opportunity to get rid of that deal without paying by swapping it for one year of Smith, I'd certainly do it.

That's how I see it. If you can convince Holland to straight swap Smith for Binner and then get Husso signed, that's a win. But the $6m and NTC are pretty big obstacles. Blues have had zero seasons without goalie drama, we are strapping in for more haha.

That any who would take Kassian for anything short of a 1st.

He has 2 more years at 3+ million and is barely an NHL player.

He's basically another Ritchie. He had two years and cost nothing to dump, was just involved in a 3rd for Lyubushkin swap for cap reasons.

Ritchie only has 1 year remaining though and makes less money. I doubt Kassian would move so easily

All you Binnington banshees are funny. Like most goalies aren't temporary voodoo. He'll be fine.
