I am just thinking about Panthers cap situation and came with idea of Reinhart, who is on 3rd line, going back to Buffalo. They are stacked, they need to clear some cap space. Barkov, Huberdeau are untouchables, they will want Giroux back and from rest of middle line forwards, Reinhart has biggest cap hit.

I would at least offer Florida their first round pick back. 😆

So the team will move hornqvist and a player who is worse than reinhart if they want to re-sign giroux. He may be on the "third line" but he is a staple on the top powerplay unit and has excellent chemistry with Lundell. Not giving up a PPG player for a damn 2nd round pick.

The cap situation is like Vegas. They just wont be able to sign certain players if they dont trade him. But they’ll trade him to a team for a 4th who will trade him to a team of his choice for a second at 50% retained.
