Not sure COL accepts.

Their biggest need is a quality point producing 2C/2RW and although I like Kapanen, they are looking for a player who produces more than he does.

Yeah my thought was it might be a decent plan B if COL lost 2 of the 2nd line FA.

If Kadri and Burakovsky walk, I’d like to see COL spend somewhere between 5-6mil on a 2C/RW. By spending like 3.5-4 mil on Kapanen, it’s this awkward “you have some cap left to spend but not enough to go and get another impact player”

What is it with Pens fans trading for Matt Martin all of a sudden? You realize he's scored 3 goals in 63 games this season, skates 11 minutes a night, and really doesn't do a whole lot of anything, right? I mean, I love the guy, but the biggest thing he brings to the table is being a "deterrent", if you still think that's something that needs to be on your team.

That being said, Lou obviously loves the guy, and I can't help but think he signed that 4 year deal last offseason with the intention of letting MM retire as an Islander. Beyond that, I can't see the Isles giving up any asset to take back a winger making 3x$2.75M - McGinn would most likely take over LW4 from Martin and add in some occasional PK while costing nearly double what they're paying the guy they're trading away. He might be a better player, but I don't think he's *that much* better (or will have that much more of an impact in those 11-12 minutes per night) to justify spending an extra $1.25M in cap on him.
