Description
Myers is definitely tradable, Dallas should be interested/targeted. Loss of Oleksiak and Klingberg leaving via FA.

I doubt Miller signs for the reported ceiling Allvin has for resigning him. I also doubt Garland will be on the 2022 opening ay roster.

I don't like the 3LC and 3LW or 3RW for that matter, but with $20-$25 Million to spend depending how Pearson/Dickenson is dealt with, you can build a 3rd line and find a long-term solution for RHD partner for Hughes.

Myers is not tradeable. I doubt he moves easily at half his salary.

I respectfully disagree. I think if you can trade guys like Loui Eriksson at $6 Mil you can trade anyone but you would have to find a team willing to do it. Myers has had a decent season, but not a $6 mil. season so if you retain salary and or lower expectations on what you want back in return it can be done. To your point though I don't think Dallas would do it, unless they lost Klingberg and you retained say $1.5-$2 Mil. then perhaps they would, but who knows?

Except you moves Erikson for a different bad contract with major term. Myers is a bad contract and is a 3rd pair defender making top pair money

Dallas rather uses the money to sign someone like Colin Miller or Mark Giordano

Worse players were moved this year alone., so, yes Myers is tradable.
You may have 1100 posts on Cap Friendly, but after a quick look at a few of them, your knowledge of the current and history of the NHL landscape is pretty low......

Lol, lobbing insults right off the mark eh? Tell me, who was traded that was worse, makes 6 million a year and didn't cost a great deal to move?

Canucks don't need to move Myers. He'll be solid if Van adds an RHD to play with Hughes and push Schenn down to free up OEL. Myers can pair with Rathbone freeing up cap (and Pearson) to re-up Pod and Rathboner who likely will be on a two year deal and add more depth.

Dermott and Poolman will be gone before him. Poolman night be LTIR at this rate

Rathbone's skating alone will be enough to not make him a horrible defender. He's also playing all scenarios with Abby. This is Myers best season with the Canucks. Don't get me wrong, the blind backhand passes in his own zone drive me crazy but the pairing would be playing limited minutes as the third anyway.

And no way is it worse than any pairing we have now between Hunt Burroughs Juulsen Dermott etc. It would be much better and the third pair

But Rathbones skating is not good enough to get himself out bad situations or he would be in the NHL. He is not anywhere close to same level as Hughes
He was sent to the NHL to develop his defensive game, his skating, offence ability is never in question, the defense is.
