Gudbranson, Del Zotto, Zaitsev and Hamonic lmao. Also that’s not enough for schiefele. Pinto and 1st probably need to be involved. I like the idea of Schiefele in Ottawa tho

I don't see why Ottawa would trade for Scheifele, but this offer isn't close for Winnipeg to consider.

That’s probably the most I’d offer for him. Because I don’t want him

Winnipeg 100% declines that Scheifele offer, They will easily get a better offer elsewhere.

i mean, scheifele’s 29. he’s only a 1C now, not for the future. i think the sens are fine with norris, stutzle, and pinto up the middle now and for the future tbh. we need a top 6 winger for stutzle

also giving norris 2mil is a joke, especially for 3 years. he has 33 goals in 58 games this year lol. he’s our 1C for now and the future

I don't think Scheifele to Ottawa makes much sense.

Sens fans didn't like my roster when I made a Scheif to Sens trade, but sorry, Pinto needs to be involved. Bernard-Docker is going to be a fine player, but the Jets already have enough defensemen his size, and shouldn't take on another one, and the Jets can grab another top nine winger with a better contract than Colin White.

I kind of see a fit. Is Stutzle a permanent center, or do the put him on the wing and pair him with Scheifele, who can score 80 points a year, and help Stutzle get to that number as well? Scheifele would be even closer to home, and he hates the Leafs, so there's that. He may want to go to another team closer to contention, but I personally don't think Scheifele to Ottawa is that out of touch with reality.

I don't know. Even with Scheifele, Ottawa likely isn't a playoff team and the only interesting players they have are all guys they won't want to move.

22 y/o Josh Norris is on pace for 47 goals 71 points and plays a better 2-way game
20 y/o Tim Stutzle has 27 points in his last 27 games, offensive dynamo in the making
21 y/o Shane Pinto will be perfect behind these 2, to shut down the opposition while adding offense

Ottawa doesn't need Mark Scheifele. I would pay that price to acquire him though and do this :

Tkachuk - Norris - Batherson
Greig - Stutzle - Scheifele
Formenton - Pinto - Brown
Crookshank - Kastelic - Joseph

This

Chabot, Sanderson, Stutzle, Norris, Batherson, Tkachuk, Pinto and Greig are just NOT available.

I don't think San Jose was very keen on losing Norris, but they had to do it to acquire Karlsson.

Tkachuk-Norris-Batherson
Stutzle-Scheifele-Joseph

looks like a nice top 6 for me.

They could inch closer to the playoffs with Scheifele and in terms of development, they really only need to figure out their goaltending. Murray hasn't worked out, and Forsberg likely isn't starter material. I'm not banking on Ottawa being a Scheifele destination; I just don't think it's very far fetched.

Yeah, I can see what you mean. I'm just going by what their fans say. I just can't see a starting piece that Winnipeg needs and Ottawa could be talked into losing.

And Pinto is the type of player I personally want in a Scheifele trade; so there's that. We got enough scoring with Ehlers, and Connor leading the way, if we can find someone who actually makes an effort defensively and can score 60 points a season but prevents goals, I'm happy.
