Difference being the Sens lost huge chunks of seasons from core pieces and key prospects, where the bulk of the Habs games lost came from guys at the end of their careers.

Sens with better health could have been a far better situation that they are this year, I'm not sure that's as true for MTL.

i mean, maybe? who knows really? players missing were still 1g, 3 of our top 4, 5 of our top 9 foward. it doesnt really gets more core that that. only chiarot suzuki and caufield were not really injured. is the same a better team healthy? maybe? but our guys are still valuable to us even if they are on bad contract and old, managed to do some decent things last year with them! 600+ games is alot.

I follow the Habs closely too (as I live near Montreal) and yeah they have been decimated by Covid/injuries too. Their season was already lost and a mess when they got healthier

Montreal, Vegas and Ottawa have been crazily decimated by injuries this season

There was a Buffalo fan the other day saying the Sabres got affected by injuries more than Ottawa but outside of Eichel/Tuch, Mittlestadt and goalies, I really don't see who they're talking about

Connor Brown missed 14 games
Josh Norris missed 16 games
Thomas Chabot missed 20 games
Erik Brannstrom missed 29 games
Drake Batherson missed 36 games
Colin White missed 50 games
Shane Pinto missed 70 games
Angus Crookshank missed 75 games

buffalo are second i believe in man lost after the habs. there is quite a few teams ahead of ottawa actually, but Ottawa was for sure afected.mostly to important players.

Would love to see even one game this season with a full squad (it's not going to happen)

I know but man-game lost is not very important. It's players that can't be replaced (like Batherson, Pinto, Chabot for example) that matters.

Nobody cares if Chris Tierney and Nikita Zaitsev miss games. Well, it would actually have helped a lot

If we could have swapped Batherson or Norris in for Tierney when they were hurt we might have been in the playoff hunt lmao

If you could go back in time and make these changes (GM : games missed, GP : games played)
Trying to respect positions/sides as much as possible

Drake Batherson (36 GM) instead of Adam Gaudette (43 GP)
Josh Norris (16 GM) instead of Logan Shaw (17 GP)
Connor Brown (14 GM) instead of Clark Bishop/Scott Sabourin (13 GP)
Shane Pinto (70 GM) instead of Chris Tierney (63 GP)
Colin White (50 GM) instead of Dylan Gambrell (56 GP)
Angus Crookshank (75 GM) instead of Zack Sanford (62 GP)

Thomas Chabot (20 GM) instead of Victor Mete (37 GP)
Erik Brannstrom (29 GM) instead of Josh Brown (46 GP)

He wouldn't have played all season as he was still in NCAA but :

Jake Sanderson instead of Nikita Zaitsev (56 GP)
