Juraj is not NHL ready next year, let alone in the top 6.

MTL should prioritize C and RD anyways (Savoie, Cooley, Wright, Nemec, Jiricek, etc.)

he is 100% NHL ready bro. He shouldnt play NHL unless he gets top 6 minutes.

Every scouting report I’ve read thus far disagrees with you.

Petry isn't waiving for Dallas when his wife and kids are staying in Metro Detroit, They're expecting their 4th child at the end of the year. Petry isn't waiving to be 1,000 miles from his family.

Nashville will undoubtedly buyout Myers. It gives them a cap credit which is worth a lot to them. He'll be an FA and there is some rumblings TO has the inside edge in signing him since he is on the Marlies currently

The family factor is a valid point however, the conditions of Petry's NTC is based on a 15 team no trade list. That means 17 potential destinations. Detroit is probably on the list of possible landing spots but I also see low to no tax states as also being on there. That combined with the fact that the Stars are a competitive team, makes them worth the consideration for this what/if scenario.

Interesting view on Myers. I selected NSH to take on the Weber contract based on the terms of his contract with NSH having to face significant penalties if Weber retires. I thought that regaining his contract via trade would close that loophole and limit NSH potential losses. So Myers could be switched out but who do you think NSH could sub in for the trade to work?

When all is said and done, I think Petry winds up in either Buffalo or Pittsburgh both still close to home and in the east.
