since Kent Johnson has been basically invisible in his short stint

Created by: Bobcat205

Description
-Kenny is not going to be on the Opening Day roster for the 2022-23 season. He needs some seasoning in the AHL. And for god's sake, give him another number besides #13. I don't give a hoot that it was his number at Michigan, i have too much emotional attachment to it. he wore #19 for a while when he played for the Trail Smoke Eaters, and that will be open, so why not give him that?

-Kirill Marchenko joins him in Cleveland. Sorry, Marchy, but Lars likes Justin Danforth too much to give you a shot on the first game. Maybe later.

-Nick Blankenburg will likely work his way up the depth chart over the course of next season. I really wanna see how he does with Zach on his left. The Wolverine Connection?

That was Cam Atkinson's number while he was here, and I'm a huge fan of his

maybe "emotional attachment" was the wrong phrase to use, but the point stands: i don't exactly agree with someone wearing it, at least for now.

Deal. Leafs always in need of cheap low-risk high-reward players with our cap structure.

Not sure what BCHL team name I like more "Trail Smoke Eaters' or "Salmon Arm Silverbacks"

Very jealous CLB ending up landing Blankenburg. I was really hope the Leafs could have signed him. Love the player. I could see a Torey Krug or Brian Rafalski type

Feel like CBJ have way too many NHL caliber players rn. Its gonna be either we trade out some players for significant pieces to be a playoff team (i.e. JT Miller, Chychrun, Fiala) or their AHL team gonna be undefeated next season. I think Jarmo is going to be very active this off season.

I'd say keep Bean, you paid a 2nd for him, might as well try to get close value back, Christiansen and Blankenburg can alternate as the 6th D, i know Tex-Kuraly-Robinson was a great line but swap Tex and Danforth, Tex shouldn't be on the 4th line

Selling too low on foudy. He will get his touches in and be ready to fill a role at the nhl level. Just not a top 6 role.
Johnson has looked ok in spurts but your right he needs alittle more conditioning and strength to be a factor at the nhl level.
He should gain some muscle over the summer and I think if he takes this off-season seriously he may be ready to make the big club next season.

Agreed. "Invisible" might be a bit rough...he's looked fine, but it's gonna take time to transition between the NCAA and NHL. I do agree with you in the sense that this 9-game stretch was likely going to determine whether he is on the roster next year, or starts in the AHL, and I'd be fine with him being in CLE for a bit.

Otherwise, feels like that is selling too low on Bean; I'd give up Bems before Foudy; I still think there is a decent chance Gus is moved;

You could almost certainly get better returns on Foudy and Bean from rebuilding teams. I'd want the Devils to match both of these at least.
